Definition of Auxiliary Verb.
Auxiliary Verb:-
An Auxiliary verb helps the main verb and is also called a helping verb. That action happened in the past or is happening in the present or will happen in the future.
Example.
(1). I am reading a book.
(2) You are writing a letter.
(3) He has done his work.
Auxiliary Verb:-
An Auxiliary verb gives us a power, which the ancient with all their varieties of moods and inflections of tense, never could attain.
Example:-
(1). I am reading a book.
(2) You are writing a letter. (3) He has done his work.

am,is,are,was,were,has,have,had,do,does and did.
2. Modal auxiliaries:-
Shall, should,will, would,can, could,may, might, must, ought,need,dare and used to.
